Pastor Young, has been the senior pastor of Alum Spring Baptist Church since 2009 and looks forward to many more years with the church.  He is married to his beautiful wife, Wendy, and they have two great boys, Thomas Dean and Micah.  The family came to Culpeper in 2006 by way of Maui, Hawaii.  Pastor Young is originally from Manassas, Virginia.  When he was 21 he joined the Army and was station in Hawaii for 3 years.  After his time in the service he stayed in the islands and attended school.  He spent time at Honolulu Community College and then transferred to the University of Hawaii to earn his Bachelor's degree in Education.  While attending the university he met his wife Wendy, and they were married in July of 1997.  The pastor has a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. 
 
It has been a great joy and honor being the pastor of Alum Spring Baptist Church.  The Lord continues to bless my family and I with serving the church and continuing to see lives come together for the purpose of doing His work.  The passion and mission of ASBC is to see individuals come to know the Lord as their Savior and to grow in discipleship for His ministry.  We pray that all we do will glorify His Kingdom and that we will be allowed to continue to serve for years to come.  I pray that you will come and visit with us and enjoy a time of worship.  God Bless.
