Purpose of Alum Spring Baptist Church
The purpose of our church is to uplift Jesus Christ by putting into practice his teachings. We strive for our lives to be such that our witness may be seen by those who seek Him in our church and elsewhere. As you meet our people, you will find friendliness, love, hope, and joy. We invite you to avail yourself of the Bible teaching and other opportunities that we have to offer. Join us as we endeavor to meet the needs of our family, church community, and God's world by keeping our eyes on Jesus.
History
Alum Spring Baptist Church was founded in 1855 by twelve original members. The Sanctuary is the original structure of the church and dates to 1856. Today, our members have grown to about 300. We continue a rich tradition of service-based ministries. We have sent teams throughout Va., the U. S., Europe and Central America.
