Services
Welcome to Alum Spring Baptist Church!
It is always a joy for our church to have guests join us for our worship times, Bible studies and other activities. Our services are considered traditional/informal with our people being encouraged to dress comfortably. In our worship services you will see a variety of dress styles from business wear to more casual attire.
We have times for prayer twice each week. On Sunday mornings we meet at 9:00 to pray for our worship service and other needs. Tuesday mornings we meet at 7:45 to remember the needs of our church and community. The Tuesday Prayer Time meets from approximately May 1st through October 1st at Yowell Meadow Park. When the weather becomes a factor our Tuesday group meets at the Shiloh Ministry Center. For more information and directions please contact our church office. We invite everyone to join us in our prayer times. Both prayer services are about one-half hour in length.
In our worship services you will find a variety of music styles ranging from traditional to Gospel to the more contemporary praise songs. Our Praise Team leads our worship twice each month and joins our choir for special times of worship. When you visit with us our hope and expectation is that our music will encourage your worship and your life with God.
When you arrive at our church you will see the largest parking area is behind our buildings off Alum Springs Road. The covered entry way located there leads into our Fellowship and Education areas and provides easy, one-level handicap access to these areas and to our sanctuary. There is limited parking both in the front and to the side of our sanctuary, as well. From these parking places there is a direct entrance into a foyer that leads into our sanctuary.
We encourage all our members to be actively involved in serving our Lord through hands-on mission projects. Our church has active Women on Mission groups which are part of the Woman's Missionary Union. These groups lead our church in missions education and involvement. During the year our church sends out teams and individuals to serve as our representatives in various ministries. including Disaster Relief, foreign and local mission trips and acts of service to our community. It is expected that Christians will seek to serve the Lord and our church desires to assist our people in this life-style.
